Hobonichi Weeks Kit vs A6 Daily Kit: Which Fits Your Planner Style?

Quick answer

Choose the Hobonichi Weeks Kit if you use a Weeks planner and want a compact, layout-specific set. Choose the A6 Daily Kit if you prefer a larger canvas and want to personalize pages with different doll options.

Size and layout: Weeks vs A6

The most obvious difference is the sticker sheet size. The Hobonichi Weeks Kit includes a sticker sheet sized 3.2" x 6.8" plus a collection sticker at 3.5" x 4.9". The A6 Daily Kit comes on a single 4.5" x 6" sheet. That extra width on the A6 sheet gives you more room for larger illustrations or multiple stickers per page.

Your planner's dimensions matter more than the sheet size. Weeks planners have narrow columns, so the Weeks kit's smaller stickers fit neatly without overhanging. A6 planners offer a bigger daily block, so the A6 kit's larger sheet can cover more of the page with fewer pieces.

Personalization options

The A6 Daily Kit stands out for its personalization: you can choose from 9 doll options to match your mood or style. The Weeks Kit does not offer this level of customization, but it includes both a main sticker sheet and a separate collection sticker, giving you two coordinated sets for the same price.

If you like your planner to feel like a storybook with a consistent character theme, the A6 kit's doll choices are a clear win. If you prefer a straightforward weekly layout without extra decision-making, the Weeks kit is simpler.

Material choices and trade-offs

Both kits are available in sticker paper (matte, writable, blue backing) or premium matte vinyl (more vibrant colors). The vinyl option costs a bit more but delivers richer color, which can make illustrations pop. The sticker paper is writable, so you can jot notes directly on the stickers—useful for labeling or adding dates.

The trade-off is durability versus writability. Vinyl is more durable and water-resistant, but you can't write on it as easily. Sticker paper is more affordable and writable, but it may not hold up as well to frequent handling or moisture.

Trade-offs at a glance

• Size fit: Choose the Weeks Kit for narrow Weeks columns; choose the A6 Kit for larger A6 daily blocks. Measure your planner's daily space before buying.
• Personalization: A6 Kit offers 9 doll options; Weeks Kit includes a bonus collection sticker instead.
• Material: Sticker paper is writable and affordable; premium matte vinyl is more vibrant and durable. Decide if you need to write on stickers or prioritize color pop.
